Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm the departure of Jay Owen from the club after six years.

Jay originally signed for The Nomads in May 2016 and made his Nomads debut against Stabæk in our first ever Europa League fixture. He has gone on to make 144 competitive starts for the club, with exactly 100 of those coming in the JD Cymru Premier.

Jay picked up his first piece of silverware in 2018 as he lifted the JD Welsh Cup following the 4-1 victory over Aberystwyth Town and added a pair JD Cymru Premier and Nathaniel MG Cup Winner's medals to his collection over the next few years.

We wish Jay all the best for the future and thank him for his fantastic efforts over a very successful spell with the club.

Additionally, the club can confirm the departures of Tom Moore, John Ufuah and Harrison Webster along with Mello who has relocated back to Brazil.

As you may have already seen also, Jamie Insall has left and joined Halesowen Town whilst Tom Bibby has left to join Holywell Town who we face in our first pre-season friendly.

Again, we would like to thank these players for their efforts and wish them all the best for the future.
