Connah's Quay Nomads are pleased to confirm that goalkeeper, Jon Rushton has re-joined the club.

Rushton comes back to Deeside for the third time in his career having spent the last few seasons at Flint Town United. He originally joined in 2011 and was a regular in the team during our return to the top flight of Welsh football in the following seasons, going on to make 73 competitive starts for the club.

Jon left The Nomads ahead of the 2014-15 season, however returned in January 2016, and was called into action during the Europa League Play-Offs as John Danby broke his thumb against Newtown. Rushton came into the side and kept two clean sheets, including a penalty save against Carmarthen to help The Nomads qualify for the Europa League.

On Jon's return, Craig Harrison commented; "It's great to have Jon back at the club. He's a really good reliable person as well as a really good experienced goalkeeper who has played in this league for a long time and enjoyed some big moments at this football club.

He works hard and wants to be at the football club - something you can't put a price on."

Welcome back to The Nomads Jon.
