Congratulations to Conor Harwood who was recently announced as the captain of the Welsh Colleges U18 team at the upcoming Roma Caput Mundi Tournament.

Harwood took part in the 2017 tournament where he was named as the Player of the Tournament and has again been selected for the 2018 squad, this time, along with fellow Nomads Academy player, Karter-Cutler Evans.

Director of Football Jay Catton commented to say "It's fantastic news for the Club that both Connor and Karter have been selected for the Welsh Colleges side.

To also hear that Connor has been selected to captain the national side is brilliant to hear and fully deserved for a talented young footballer.

Both players have come through The Nomads Academy system and began the Academy Scholarship program in partnership with Coleg Cambia in September 2016.

Both have been regulars for the scholarship side and under 19s with Connor also having made a number of Welsh Premier appearances over two years and was the first millennium born player to play in the league.

The Welsh Colleges program, ran by Marc Lloyd-Williams has progressed so much over the last few years and we wish him and all the team the very best in this year's international tournament.

A huge well done again to Connor and Karter on a fantastic achievement."
