Macca snaps up McIntosh

Fri, 26th November, 2010 12:30pm

gap Connah's Quay Nomads have, today, completed the signing of striker James McIntosh from fellow Huws Gray Alliance side Buckley Town.

The 27-year old joined the Globe Way outfit from Airbus UK Broughton in the summer, after netting 39 goals in 132 (+22) Welsh Premier League appearances to become the Wingmakers' all-time record goalscorer.

McIntosh started out at Christleton and has also played for Mold Alexandra and Colwyn Bay.

Player-boss Mark McGregor is delighted with the capture of a quality acquisition to bolster the frontline, following the departure of Chris Herbert last week.

The signing signifies the club's commitment to returning to the top flight by attracting a high calibre of player to the Deeside Stadium, beating title rivals Rhyl and Caersws for James' signature.

He will go straight into the squad to face Penrhyncoch tomorrow afternoon.

Welcome to Deeside, James!
