SHELTON PAYNE

Cardiff-born Payne joined The Nomads following a previous spell in the Welsh Premier League with Port Talbot Town where he made 11 substitute appearances in the 2008-09 season. Since his time in Welsh football, Payne has gone on to play for Chorley, Colwyn Bay, Hyde, FC United of Manchester, Salford City and Ramsbottom United.

Payne made his debut for The Nomads as a second half substitute against Bala Town in September 2016. Payne was subject to an action packed 20 minutes in one of the following games against Aberystwyth Town, where he was brought on as a substitute, scored within minutes of coming on and was then unfortunately substituted off as he suffered knee ligament damage, preventing him from playing again until the penultimate game of the season against Bala Town.

Payne left Deeside in May 2017 having made just 2(+5) competitive appearances for the Club.
