Mark McGregor

McGregor started his career as a Wrexham trainee, signing a pro contract in July 1995 and made 244 appearances for the North Wales side before a free transfer to Burnley in 2001.

Further spells with Blackpool and Port Vale saw him reach 423 Football League appearances in total.

McGregor joined The Nomads from Altrincham as player-manager in July 2009, but was unfortunately the man in charge as The Nomads were relegated from the Welsh Premier League in 2010 due to a league reshuffle. McGregor then led The Noamds to two successive Huws Gray Alliance titles, missing out on promotion the first time round due to licensing criteria not being met by the Club. The second success was completed however when the side were promoted back to the Welsh Premier League having won the 2011/12 Cymru Alliance.

In McGregor's first season back in the Welsh Premier League with the Club, The Nomads narrowly missed out on Europa League qualification following a 1-0 defeat to Bala Town in the Europa League Play-Off Semi Final.

Despite narrowly missing out on Europa League qualfication in the previous season, the 2013-14 season was one of survival as The Nomads narrowly avoided the drop on the final day with an 8-1 victory over Afan Lido securing their fate. Results failed to improve for McGregor in the 2014-15 season and saw McGregor depart The Nomads in in January 2015.

In his time at The Nomads, McGregor made 197 starts, including 17 substitute appearances and found the net on 21 occasions.
