Bala Town FC

JD Cymru Premier
26.02.19 | 7:45pm

Tuesday night's game sees The Nomads take on Bala Town in our second game in four days, with a third game coming this Friday as we face Caernarfon Town in the JD Welsh Cup Quarter Finals at The Oval.

The Lakesiders head to Deeside on the back of a 2-2 draw against Newtown, a game which, remarkably, was their first in Phase Two of the JD Welsh Premier League due to games being snowed off and abandoned, so Colin Caton and his side will no doubt be happy to play catch up having seemingly been sat on the sidelines for an eternity.

The Nomads welcome Bala to Deeside Stadium, which last time out saw a record breaking attendance of 1068 see The Nomads reach the Irn Bru Cup Final thanks to a dramatic penalty shootout victory, and if even a small percentage of those fans return tonight to take in tonight's game, we will be grateful of your support.

Our last encounter with the team from Maes Tegid saw a New Year's Day thumping with goals from Michael Parker, Michael Wilde, Michael Bakare and Andy Owens give The Nomads our biggest victory over Bala since a 6-3 victory at Maes Tegid back in February 2013.

Ahead of the game, Andy Morrison said "We head into tonight's game against Bala know we have to again reach the standards we have set this season at home if we are to get the win we need.

I thought our performance away to Barry on Saturday up until the final third was excellent - a bit more composure and the correct decision at key times in their box and we would have got the result we rightly deserved. With their home record this season, to go there and dominate the game, restricting them to counter attacks was a measure of our superiority on the day.

We always have tough, tight games against Bala and tonight's game will be no different."

The game kicks off at 7:45pm at Deeside Stadium and will be covered by our great live Twitter feed.
