MATCH PREVIEW: SEASON FINALE AT PARK HALL

Friday night sees Connah's Quay Nomads make the trip to Oswestry to play The New Saints in the final game of the 2018-19 JD Welsh Premier League campaign.

The game had the makings of a potential league decider when the fixtures were announced in January, however The New Saints' recent run of form has seen that possibility extinguished as TNS won their eighth consecutive Welsh Premier League title following their 4-0 victory over Barry Town United little over 10 days ago.

Despite not quite making it to the title this season, The Nomads have pushed TNS the furthest they have been in recent memory whilst also accumulating our highest ever points talley in the Welsh Premier League's 12 team format and best goals scored column since the league was founded in 1992.

The Nomads are guaranteed both UEFA Europa League football for the fourth successive season and will be hoping for a repeat of our fantastic Irn Bru Cup run again next season as we have also guaranteed a berth in the Scottish Challenge Cup having secured second place in the league with our 1-1 draw at home to Barry Town United last weekend.

Our last trip to Park Hall ended in a 3-0 defeat despite dominating a large portion of the first half, in a game which could have seen The Nomads go in a few goals to the good at half time.

The game will of course also be a pre-cursor to the JD Welsh Cup Final which takes place on Sunday 5th May at Cefn Druids' The Rock stadium. The game will mark our second successive JD Welsh Cup Final having won our first ever Welsh Cup with last season's 4-1 victory over Aberystwyth in Newtown, while TNS make their fifth appearance in the past six years.

Friday night's game kicks off at 7:45pm at Park Hall and will be covered, as always, by our live Twitter feed on the night.
