Connah's Quay Nomads head to Latham Park on Friday night to take on Newtown in S4C's live Facebook game.
The match, originally scheduled for Saturday 21st, was brought forwards to Friday night to be broadcast live on Facebook and S4C Clic and will see The Nomads' first away game in September having faced Cove Rangers, Cefn Druids and Aberystwyth Town all at Deeside Stadium thus far in the month.
We currently sit third in the league on twelve points, two points behind first-placed Barry Town United, while Newtown, on eight points are seventh, having won just two of their opening six games, the most recent coming last weekend at home to Bala.
Our last visit to Latham Park in the league saw Danny Harrison net his first goal for the club, and Michael Wilde head the winner shortly after, however this wasn't our most recent visit to Newtown, as we also came away victorious over Cardiff Met in the JD Welsh Cup Semi Final in late March.
What the manager says
Ahead of the game, Andy Morrison spoke about his side's resilience since the start of the season.
"With five clean sheets since the start of the season, winning the last four games and still unbeaten, we head to Newtown on Friday evening in great form. After a really busy period of three games in six days, we've been able to have a great week's preparation for Newtown.
The intensity and standards have been really pleasing - the players are fighting hard to get a starting position and that is really healthy, with only George Horan missing we have a full strength squad to pick from and every player merits a start."
Morrison went on to talk about Newtown saying; "Newtown are always very difficul to play against at Latham Park - I'd have to go back to my Airbus days where we won 7-0 to think of a game that wasn't really close and the odd goal ultimately being the difference. Having watched them beat a very good Bala team last weekend where the result didn't reflect how much Newtown dominated the game, we are under no illusion as to just how difficult this game will be."
The match will be streamed live on S4C's Facebook page as well as the S4C Clic streaming service and as always will be covered live by our own Twitter feed.
