Saturday 9th November 2019 | 2:30pm
Jenner Park, Barry

Saturday afternoon will see first meet second as Connah's Quay Nomads travel to Jenner Park to take on Barry Town United.

The Nomads come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with TNS last Saturday while Barry suffered their first defeat of the season away at Caernarfon Town where they fell to a 4-1 defeat.

Recent Form
The Nomads remain unbeaten in the league following last weekend's draw with The New Saints and come into the game on the back of two successive draws in the league, either side of a 4-1 victory in the Nathaniel MG Cup.

As previously mentioned, Barry suffered their first defeat of the season at The Oval last weekend, but prior to that had won two and drawn one in October with victories over Newtown and Airbus and a draw at Bala.

Last time at Jenner Park
The last time The Nomads went to Jenner Park saw the two sides play out a 1-1 draw in a game which was mostly dominated by The Nomads. Jonathan Hood gave the hosts the lead in the 15th minute before Michael Bakare scored an impressive half-volley to draw The Nomads level before going on to hit the woodwork three times and having efforts cleared off the line.

From the gaffer
Ahead of the game, Andy Morrison said "Again, we will have to wait until the last minute to name the team. With injuries and suspensions, we find ourselves in November and still haven't had a fully fit squad to choose from this season.

We still find a way to get results and that is testament to the character of our players. Saturday against Barry will be our toughest challenge to date - having built year-on-year and tasted European football this season, they have strengthened again and are rightly getting the plaudits they deserve. We look forward to the challenge!"
