Connah's Quay Nomads vs Bala Town FC
JD Cymru Premier
Friday 20th December 2019 | 7:45pm
Deeside Stadium, Connah's Quay

Tonight's JD Cymru Premier fixture at Deeside Stadium will see second-placed Bala Town visit third-placed Connah's Quay Nomads.

The Nomads fell to our first defeat of the domestic campaign last Friday at Cefn Druids in a game which we dominated from start to finish but two goals against the run of play was enough to inflict our first defeat in the Welsh top flight since April.

Bala took advantage of the defeat by leapfrogging us in midweek as they faced Penybont, picking up a 4-0 victory on Tuesday night to jump into second place in the league table. The Lakesiders have been on an impressive run of form of late having won all of their games since 1st November without conceding a goal.

Tonight's match marks the third time that we have face Colin Caton's team in the 2019/20 season despite it only being December - the last time that Bala were here was little under a month ago with The Nomads coming out 2-0 victors in the Nathaniel MG Cup Semi Final, booking our place in the final for the first time since 1996. Prior to that, it was a 1-0 victory for The Nomads at Maes Tegid thanks to a 69th minute header from Michael Wilde, who was also on the scoresheet in the League Cup Semi Final.
