Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to announce the signing of 32 year old midfielder, Aeron Edwards.

A Wales C International, Edwards started his career as a junior player at Brickfield Rangers before joining Buckley Town in 2007, moving briefly to Caersws in 2009 before joining the Oswestry-based TNS ahead of the 2009/10 season.

During his time at Park Hall, Edwards has won the JD Cymru Premier, Welsh Cup and Welsh League Cup on multiple occasions, as well as winning the Goal of the Season award for the 2018/19 campaign.

Edwards was picked by Mark Jones to captain the Wales C squad against England C in March 2019, having also played in the same fixture a year earlier. He was also chosen for the 2020 match, alongside The Nomads' Callum Roberts, which was ultimately cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On his arrival at the newly crowned JD Cymru Premier Champions, Edwards said; "It's been a difficult decision after spending 11 great years at TNS, but I felt it was the right time for a new challenge.

I'm really looking forward to working with Andy, Craig, Jay and the rest of the team."

On Aeron's arrival, Andy Morrison added; "Aeron is a player I have admired for many years and we're delighted to sign him. He will add quality to our already talented squad."
