Connah's Quay Nomads are pleased to announce that Michael Wilde has signed a new one year deal with the club.

Wilde joined The Nomads in June 2016 and made his competitive debut for The Nomads in the Club's first ever UEFA Europa League match against Norwegian side, Stabæk Fotball in June 2016.

Wilde has gone on to make over 120 competitive starts for The Nomads, scoring on more than 50 occasions including a brace in both the JD Welsh Cup Final victory over Aberystwyth Town in 2018, and the Nathaniel MG Cup Final against STM Sports in 2020.

Wilde was also a key member of the team in picking up the JD Cymru Premier title in the 2019/20 season.

On his new deal, Wilde said "I'm delighted to sign a new contract at the club - it was a fantastic season, and winning the League and League Cup double was just rewards for the great work being done here. It's extremely hard to turn down an offer to keep playing for the Champions and to play in the Champions' League again.

I'm still a few goals shy of the 200 mark in the league as well, so I'm going to be gunning for that this season and obviously aiming to retain the title!"

Manager, Andy Morrison added; "Wildey has been with us for four years now and has maintained his incredibly high standards. His desire, professionalism and vision to keep challenging himself is an example to everyone at the club."
