The Nomads are pleased to announce the signing of 25-year-old defender, Kai Edwards from Wrexham.

Edwards was strongly linked with The Nomads during the summer before accepting an offer to join Vanarama National League side Wrexham, having left The New Saints in May.

Edwards has made 24 starts for Wrexham so far this season, but is best known for his time in the Welsh Premier League having made 169 starts in the league for Prestatyn Town, Neath and most recently The New Saints. A former Wales Schoolboys captain, Edwards primarily plays at central defence but can also play at right back or in midfield. Edwards was voted Welsh Premier League Young Player of the Season for the 2011/12 campaign.

On his arrival, Manager Andy Morrison said "We are delighted to welcome Kai to the Club - it's no secret that we were looking for a centre-half with Ian Kearney and Mike Pearson both being out for the season. When we became aware that Kai was available, we had to move fast as players of his qulity are in short supply. Kai can play in a number of positions and has shown at his time at TNS just how valuable he will be going forwards."
