Match-winner Owens named in Five-on-Form

Andy Owens was in Sgorio's Five-on-Form on Monday night following his winning goal against The New Saints on Sunday.

Owens started in place of the injured Michael Wilde, and was a constant handful for the TNS backline throughout the game. Owens capped off an impressive performance with what turned out to be the winning goal in the 47th minute - latching on to a Danny Holmes long ball, nicking it away from two TNS defenders before slotting beyond Paul Harrison from a tight angle.

During his post-match interview, Connah's Quay Nomads manager, Andy Morrison praised Owens for his performance, saying "Andy has got the attributes to cause all sorts of problems - he'll run off people, he's big and strong and I'm just saying to him there [after the game], in the second half if he could have brought us in to play a little bit more and just got the pass right, on the link play from the nine, we get that pass right to the midfield and then we feed our wide men, or Declan Poole who's breaking and then our back lads can get up the pitch and we can get in to stronger positions..."

Congratulations Andy!
