Connah's Quay Nomads are pleased to announce the signing of 22 year-old goalkeeper Lewis Brass.

Born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Brass spent time at Darlington's Academy before moving to Carlisle United and then on to Workington and Gateshead.

Brass has spent the past two years in America representing East Central College in Missouri, playing in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) on a sporting scholarship in a much similar style to the likes of Tom Bibby, Jack Chambers and others from our own Scholarship programme in partnership with Coleg Cambria which has seen players head to America to continue their development.

On his arrival at Deeside, First Team Coach, Craig Harrison said; "We are really pleased to strengthen our squad with the addition of Lewis Brass. We have three excellent goalkeepers at the club in John Danby, Jon Rushton and Eric Green. Lewis will add more competition to our full-time programme, having been involed with men's football since he was 16 years old. He is a young goalkeeper with very good potential."
