Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm three pre-Europe fixtures against the SPFL team Aberdeen, NIFL Premiership side Cliftonville and the Isle of Man FA side who we faced last season.
Our first game comes as a return fixture against the Isle of Man FA who hosted us last season at The Bowl in Douglas in a game which ended goalless. This match will take place at Airbus on Saturday 15th June with a 2:00pm kick off.
The following weekend, we will also host Northern Irish side, Cliftonville, again at Airbus. We travelled to Northern Ireland to face Cliftonville at the Solitude Stadium in June 2016 in a game which ended 1-0 to the Irish side. Again, this game will kick off at 2pm at The Airfield.
Our high-profile fixture of the preparation for the Europa League will come in Ireland as we travel to Cork to face Aberdeen as part of their own pre-season camp, hosted as the prestigious Fota Island Resort, a training camp used by not only Aberdeen but also the Republic of Ireland national team.
In and amongst these friendly fixtures, The Nomads will find out our opposition in the UEFA Europa League First Qualifying Round as club representatives will travel to UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland for the draw on Wednesday, 19th June.
