In this feature article we take a look back at some recent meetings at Deeside Stadium between The Nomads and Barry.

The Nomads 1-1 Barry Town United
20th April 2019

The most recent meeting of the teams saw The Nomads secure second place in last season's league campaign in a game which saw Jamie Insall make his debut for the club. And it was Insall who set up Mike Wilde to give The Nomads the lead before Jonathan Hood equalised meaning it was a third draw of the season against the side from Jenner Park.

The Nomads 2-2 Barry Town United
10th October 2018

A classic encounter between the two sides wihch saw The Nomads dominate the majority of the game but somehow trail at half time. We took the lead in the 18th minute through a Michael Bakare strike and had a number of chances in a first half we dominated. A Mo Touray double in the dying embers of the first half notched what seemed like Barry's first touches in our penalty area and Gavin Chesterfield's side led at half time. The Nomads equaliser came from a stunning Rob Hughes volley, who thundered home a left footed effort from all of 25 yards.

The Nomads 3-0 Barry Town United
6th January 2018

A comfortable victory for The Nomads in our penultimate game of phase one in the 2017/18 campaign. Callum Morris gave The Nomads the lead just before half time with a well-placed header before Michael Wilde doubled The Nomads advantage. Declan Poole scored a well-worked goal late in the second half to kill off any thoughts of a late Barry comeback.

Don't forget that The Nomads host Barry on Saturday afternoon in our penultimate game of Phase One in a game that will be covered, as always on our social media channels.
