Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm that Sean Smith has left the club.

Smith originally joined The Nomads in the January 2014 transfer window for six months before joining the Lakesiders for the 2013-14 season. Smith rejoined The Nomads ahead of the 2015-16 campaign and was a key component of some of The Nomads' most successful periods at the club.

During his two spells at Deeside, Smith made over 100 appearances in total with his final appearance coming in the JD Welsh Cup Final victory over Aberystwyth Town.

On his departure, Andy Morrison said "Sean has been great or me since my arrival in 2015 - we's been a pleasure to work with. He was offered a deal by Bala that he couldn't turn down, and I wish him all the best in the future."

Everyone at the club would like to thank Sean for his time at Deeside Stadium.
