Following Connah's Quay Nomads' emphatic victory away at Llanelli Town, Andy Morrison spoke to Nik Mesney at Stebonheath Park to give his thoughts on the game.
Today we were very good
"We've done a lot of work this week Nik in preparation for the game - I went to watch them last week at Carmarthen and saw some real qualities that they have - first and foremost we nullified that and then we exposed little things that we saw last week that we worked on in training this week - you plan for things and sometimes they come off, sometimes they don't, but today, we were very good and clinical..."
We're a very hard team to stop
"If our midfielders are able to get their head up with the pace that we've got in [Michael] Bakare and [Ryan] Wignall and then Declan Poole breaking and the point of attack that Andy Owens and Wildey give us, we're a very hard team to stop and it's a tough baptism for them, Prestatyn had it last year coming in to us..."
We were able to really expose them
"In those last 15-20 minutes when our fitness levels are where they are because of Europe, we were able to really expose them and things were falling for full-backs and again, a few sclaffed shots into the corner that bounced a couple of times, we had two or three of them, a couple of deflections, so maybe a harsh scoreline on Llanelli at the end, but as I've just said to the players, they'll take a lot of points off teams here when they work the league out..."
