Byrne joined The Nomads in January 2020 having previously played at Stevenage Borough and Atherton Collieries, having spent much of his youth at three of the top academies in the country in the form of Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City and Manchester United.

Ollie would make his debut for the club in a 3-1 victory over Cefn Druids in November 2020 and went on to make a further 63 starts for the club in all competitions, winning two JD Cymru Premier titles and two Nathaniel MG Cup titles.

Byrne was recently named joint Player's Player of the season having kept 24 clean sheets in 41 games in the 2021/22 season.

Byrne left The Nomads in June 2022 to join Altrincham Town for an undisclosed fee.
