Firth to head to Saudi

Connah's Quay Nomads can confirm the departure of First Team goalkeeper Andy Firth.

Firth will head to the Saudi Pro League to become a part of Steven Gerrard's coaching team at El Attifaq having closely worked with Gerrard previously at Rangers before joining The Nomads in 2022.

Firth made his Nomads debut against The New Saints in the Nathaniel MG Cup in August 2022, a game which saw him not only save, but also score in the penalty shootout which saw The Nomads progress through the round.

Firth was a part of The Nomads side that won the JD Welsh Cup in 2024 and made a total of 72 competitive appearances during his time at the club.

On his departure, Firth commented; "It's been a great two years here, and there's so many great people to thank!
br> From Craig Harrison and Neil Ebbrell for bringing me in, to Gibbo and all his staff for being top drawer in every aspect from the moment he came in.

A massive thanks to all my amazing team mates, together we left our own piece of history in what was my last game for the club.

Finally to all the volunteers and staff behind the scenes, it's been an amazing two years and I wish them all the very best in the future."

Everyone at the club would like to wish Andy all the best for the future and thank him for his two year spell at the club.
