Welcome to The Nomads, George Ratcliffe

Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to announce the signing of former Cymru U21 goalkeeper, George Ratcliffe.

23-year-old Ratcliffe began his career at Cardiff City and spent the majority of his formative years at the team from the capital before joining Barry Town United on loan during the 2019/20 season.

Since leaving Cardiff in 2022, Ratcliffe signed for Pontypridd United and despite the team having little success, Ratcliffe was their standout performer with a string of fine performances.

Ratcliffe featured for various Cymru age groups throughout his youth career with 10 appearances for the U21s, 12 appearances for the U19s and one more for the U17s.



On his arrival at The Nomads, George commented; "I've been around the Cymru Premier for long enough now to know how good of a side Connah's Quay Nomads are, so it's a privilege to have signed for the club. Hopefully I can add my quality to the team to achieve as much as we can for Europe and for the upcoming season."

George will wear the number 31 shirt and is available immediately ahead of our UEFA Conference League fixtures.
