Former Wales U21 midfielder Hughes joins Nomads

Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to announce the signing of former Wales U21 International, Rhys Hughes.

Rhys began his career at Everton where he spent much of his formative years before joining Tranmere Rovers in 2022 - Rhys would make over has since enjoyed loan spells at both Chester and Curzon Ashton before leaving Tranmere this summer to join The Nomads.

The Wrexham-born 22-year-old has featured for Wales at International level through the U17, U19 and U21 age groups having made 10 appearances for the U21 age group.



On his arrival at Connah's Quay Nomads, Rhys commented; "After speaking with Gibbo [Neil Gibson] and the staff, I knew this was the place I anted to be - I am delighted to join The Nomads and I am looking forward to getting started and hopefully having a very successful season."

Rhys will be available for selection following International Clearance.
