Welcome to The Nomads Jason Oswell

Connah’s Quay Nomads are delighted to confirm the signing of 32-year-old striker, Jason Oswell.

The 6ft 2in striker brings a wealth of experience to The Nomads’ team having originally started his career at Crewe Alexandra back in 2011 where he enjoyed loan spells at Market Drayton, Nantwich Town and Rhyl.

Oswell would go on to feature in the Cymru Premier for Rhyl, Airbus and most prominently Newtown, where he would score 50 goals in 94 appearances before securing a move to Stockport county in 2017. During his time at County he would score 25 goals in 40 appearances before moving to Morecambe, Wrexham and AFC Telford before returning the Cymru Premier with Newtown once again in 2023.

Back in 2017, Oswell was named the Cymru Premier Player of the Season and would also be named as Stockport County’s Player of the Season in 2018.

On his move to The Nomads, Oswell commented; "I'm absolutely delighted to sign for Connah’s Quay and to be part of an exciting new chapter at the club. This is a fantastic opportunity to challenge myself again and contribute to a team with high ambition, pushing for European places. I can’t wait to get started and give everything for the badge."

Oswell will wear the number 9 shirt in the forthcoming season.
