Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to continue our announcement of new signings with the arrival of highly rated attacker, Zeli Ismail to the club.
31-year-old Zeli is most well known in Welsh football for his recent time at Newtown where he scored 10 goals in 60 appearances for the club and regularly provided a threat on the wing for The Robins.
Prior to his time at Latham Park, Zeli had played for Hereford, Bradford Ciy, Walsall and Bury as well as a number of loan spells at other Football League clubs including MK Dons, Burton Albion, Notts County and Oxford United.
Born in Kukes, Albania, Ismael is a product of the Wolverhampton Wanderers academy setup having joined the midlands club at the age of 10. Zeli made his senior debut for Wolves on 25 September 2012 as a substitute against Chelsea in the League Cup.
Earlier in his career, Zeli made 6 appearances for the England U16 and U17 teams.
Zeli will wear the number 10 shirt and will no doubt feature in our recently announced pre-season friendlies, starting with our home game against Mold Alexandra on July 5th before facing his former side Newtown on Tuesday 8th July.
