New signings continue with arrival of Dan Cowan

Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to announce the signing of 29-year-old defender, Dan Cowan.

Cowan's career has mainly focused in the north west where he has played for a variety of teams including Chorley, Stockport County, Guiseley, Curzon Ashton, Chester, Buxton and a number of spells at both iterations of Macclesfield having started his career in their Town's academy before returning to the newly-reformed Macclesfield FC.

During his time at Buxton, Cowan was part of the North Premier League winning side as well as twice securing promotion during his time at both Stockport and Macclesfield Town.

Cowan's most recent team was Ashton United who finished fifth in the Northern Premier League behind our pre-season opponents Macclesfield FC.

On joining The Nomads, Cowan commented; "I'm really pleased to be taking on a new challenge in the Welsh league and trying to get the club competing again where it should be.

During my conversations with John [Disney] about the plans for the upcoming season, it became clear that this is a project I want to be a part of and can't wait to get started."
