Looking Ahead To Europe

Following the conclusion of our 2025/26 JD Cymru Premier season, the club are delighted to have once again achieved European football.

This marks the ninth time that the club has achieved European football, having first done so back in 2016 thanks to our Playoff victory over Airbus at the Deeside Stadium.

Since then, we have featured in 12 ties in the various European competitions including two appearances in the UEFA Champions’ League in 2020 and 2021.

European nights have proven to be some of the most memorable in the club’s recent history with victories over Stabaek and Kilmarnock living long in the memory for those at both games.

Important Dates
The Nomads will enter the UEFA Conference League at the First Qualifying Round similarly to where we have in previous seasons.

The draw for the First Qualifying Round takes place at UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Tuesday June 16th with the draw for the Second Qualifying Round taking place just 24 hours later. The First leg of the First Qualifying Round will take place on 9th July with the Second leg taking place a week later on 16th July.

Should The Nomads make it through the First round, the Second round will be played on the 23rd and 30th July respectively.

These dates are subject to change and can be altered by UEFA should there be a stadium clash or extenuating circumstances.

Home Stadium
As the Essity Stadium doesn’t meet UEFA requirements, we have had to source an alternative home stadium, similar to our previous European campaigns, and this year will see us play our home fixtures at Colwyn Bay’s Blue Turtle Arena (Llanelian Road). Bay’s stadium has undergone a huge improvement in the last 18 months with the construction of the new stand which recently hosted on of the top five attendances in JD Cymru Premier history.

Should Colwyn Bay qualify for the UEFA Conference League, they will take priority during the scheduling of fixtures.

Be sure to stay tuned to our social media channels for all the latest news regarding the upcoming European campaign.
