Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm the signing of 34-year-old striker, Byron Harrison.

The 6'3" striker has played throughout the footballing pyramid during his career, starting out at Havant and Waterlooville back in 2005. He has since gone on to play for a number of teams including Boreham Wood, Stevenage, AFC Wimbeldon, Chesterfield, Barrow and most recently Altrincham.

During his time at Stevenage, Harrison won the 2011 League Two Playoffs at Wembley, coming on as a second half substitute in the Play off Final. Harrison also won the National League with Barrow in the 2019-20 campaign.

Harrison has made a total of 546 career appearances, finding the net on 173 occasions, with his most fruitful spell coming at Ashford Town where he scored 53 goals in 99 games - his time at Barrow between 2016 and 2018 also saw a similar goals to games ratio where he scored 32 goals in 67 games.

On The Nomads' latest signing, Andy Morrison said "I'm delighted to get Byron over the line - I've been working on it now for a few weeks and we managed to fend off a Conference club, a Conference North club and a club from abroad so I'm delighted to get him in - he's got a great pedigree - offers us a platform up the pitch which I thought we lacked a little bit in the last game [against Llandudno] and with Michael [Wilde] moving on, I need that platform."

Byron will wear the number nine shirt at Deeside and will be available for selection following international clearance.
