Connah's Quay Nomads are pleased to announce in recent weeks that three of our academy players have gained moves to professional Football League academies at Shrewsbury Town and Wigan Athletic. Theo Ogden Jones of our U12s made the move to Wigan Athletic this summer after being with The Nomads throughout the mini phase age groups.

A technically gifted player who has developed superbly well over the last few seasons under coaches James Duff and Chris Boulton.

Wil Smith of our U13s has been with The Nomads Academy since U8s. A talented defensive player who has always possessed a great attitude and commitment.

A big testament to Head Coach Jordan Taylor for playing a major part in his development along with current Head of Youth Phase Iain Bennett and former coaches Craig Griffiths and Jordan Jackson who were all big aids to Wil's development.

The hat trick of professional club moves sees U16 Cammron Morris join Shrewsbury Town.

A great character and attacking player who joined The Nomads Academy three years ago, from Crewe Alexandra. During his time with the club he has played a number of games for the youth team and has been coached by a number of different coaches at the Academy.

Special mention in particular goes to Leighton Sumner, Gareth Richards and Antonio Magalhaes who along with other staff at the club have been huge coaches in Cammron's development.

Director of Football, Jay Catton commented; "The latest three graduates over recent weeks brings the Nomads Academy current tally of players who have progressed to Football League and Premier League academies to a total of 42.

A huge well done to all three players and we wish them all the best during next stage of there respective football journeys."
