Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm that we will play our home fixtures for the 2023/24 season at the Essity Stadium, Flint.
A deal has been agreed between the two clubs to allow The Nomads' First Team to play our games at the Essity Stadium from the beginning of next season.
On the agreement, Nomads Co-Owner, Darren Pritchard commented;
We are delighted to have reached an agreement with Flint Town United to their their ground for our home fixtures, starting in the 2023/24 season. Having attended a few games there, it's a fantastic facility and brilliant playing surface - a huge improvement on the pitch at the Deeside Stadium.
I'd like to express our thanks to Darryl and the Board at Flint for expediting the request and I trust this will be the first of many sporting initiatives between the two long-standing Flintshire clubs."
Flint's Chairman, Darryl Williams added;
"We are pleased to have reached an agreement with our neighbours Connah's Quay Nomads, which will see their first team play their games at the Essity Stadium from next season. This should prove a mutually beneficial arrangement for both clubs and has been sanctioned by the FAW."
This or course is not the first time that The Nomads have used Flint's home stadium as our own having spent the 2006/07 season there as guests during a spell whilst the pitch at Deeside Stadium was dug up to install a drainage system at the ground.
Everyone at the club is looking forward to starting a new chapter in our history in the 2023/24 season at the Essity Stadium.
