Academy Pre-Season fixtures confirmed

A full pre-season games programme for our Academy, U8 to U16 teams has been confirmed ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Our teams will enjoy mixed home and away fixtures against nine different professional youth setups and Academies, offering great game experiences for our youngsters.

Full details of all fixtures will all be confirmed closer to the dates of the relevant fixtures.

July kicks off with fixtures against Kidderminster Harriers and Solihull youth programmes, finishing the month of against Chester youth teams along with Blackburn Rovers and Crewe Alexandra Academies.

August sees our teams face Category 3 Academies Wrexham and Salford along with Category 2 Academy Fleetwood Town along with facing Category 1 Academy Wolves ahead of the FAW Academi Games Programme in September.

Technical Director Jay Catton commented; “Games programmes are arguably the most vital part of any youth development program.

It is vital that we provide a robust games programme for all of our youngsters, ensuring we continually strive to provide the best opportunities and experiences for our young players to develop.

We recently attended a national FAW Academies meeting which confirmed changes to the in-season games programme which will provide even more games including south Wales opposition, which will be another step forwards in the National Academi Programme.

As with every season, we will always strive to add to our games programme every week across the season and look forward to providing a similar calibre of games across for 2025/26 campaign.”

vs Crewe Alexandra Academy and Chester Youth - 27th and 28th July
vs Wrexham Academy - 2nd and 3rd August
vs Fleetwood Town Academy - 9th and 10th August
vs Wolves FC Academy - 16th and 17th August
vs Salford City Academy - 23rd and 24th August
