An impressive performance from The New Saints saw them go five points clear at the top of the Welsh Premier League.

Michael Wilde opened the scoring for TNS after just 5 minutes, but took a kick to the face in the process of nodding his goal in.  As Wilde was receiving treatment, November player of the month Rhys Healey equalised for The Nomads.  Ten minutes before half time, Chris Seargeant hit the bar with a well struck free kick and Phil Baker nodded in the rebound.  The Nomads went in 2-1 down at half time in what was a very open first half.

The first half was unfortunately marred for The Nomads who lost both Rob Jones and Dean Canning to injury. Both of whom with suspected broken bones as Rob took a flailing elbow to the nose, bloodying and potentially breaking it, whilst Dean fell awkwardly and had a TNS player land on top of him with a suspected broken arm.

Shortly after half time, TNS had a goal ruled out offside, but it didn't take them long to get the ball back in the net with an additional three goals from Sam Finley, Chris Marriot and Greg Draper as The Saints turned on the class.
