Llanelli AFC vs Connah's Quay Nomads
JD Cymru Premier
Sunday 30th August 2009 | 2:30pm
Stebonheath Park, Llanelli | Attendance: 257
LLANELLI gained their first win of the campaign as they totally dominate gap Connah's Quay, who went down to their first defeat.
Craig Moses led the way with a hat-trick, the first by any player in the Welsh Premier this season, with Owain Warlow providing for two and scoring one himself.
Moses started the rout with a 16th-minute header, before last season's leading scorer Rhys Griffiths soon doubled the advantage when a long-range Ryan Batley effort was deflected his way.
Both Moses and Griffiths had chances to inflict further damage, but the Nomads' rearguard remained intact until 10 minutes after the break, when Moses added the finishing touch after good work by Jason Bowen and Warlow, who set-up Moses again three minutes later.
And the former Lincoln City winger put the icing in the cake with the fifth.
