NOMADS were stunned by a late equaliser which further dented their hopes of qualifying for next season's Welsh Premier.

A home win was on the cards until the 90th minute, when a Jack Lewis ball over the top of the defence released Steve Rogers who produced a clinical finish to gain Prestatyn a share of the spoils.

Craig Jones had given Connah's Quay a deserved lead from a 77th-minute corner after Seasiders' keeper Jon Hill-Dunt had saved from Hayes.

Dunt had also produced good first half saves from Jamie Petrie and Michael Hayes and Quay continued to threaten after the break.

But Prestatyn felt they were denied a blatant penalty when keeper Terry McCormick clattered into player-boss Neil Gibson.

"We were devastated - we know it’s a game we should have won," said Nomads' assistant player-manager Mark McGregor.
