Carmarthen Town AFC vs Connah's Quay Nomads
JD Cymru Premier
Saturday 13th September 2008 | 2:30pm
Richmond Park, Carmarthen | Attendance: 0
gap Connah's Quay bossed the first half-hour without making the most of their chances and it was the hosts who ran out winners thanks to goals from Danny Thomas and Nathan Cotterrall.
Neil Thomas need to be at his best for the Old Gold to save from Tommy Mutton when one-on-one and then stopped a fine volley from Peter Doran following a Mutton cross.
Carmarthen then took the lead shortly before half-time when Sacha Walters pulled the ball back from the byline for Thomas to net from 12 yards.
The hosts dominated the rest of the game and Cotterrall raced onto a chip to beat Nomads' keeper Chris Maxwell to the ball and roll into an empty net.
Maxwell protested he had been fouled, but the goal stood and Carmarthen moved ahead of their visitors into third place in the table.
