Connah's Quay Nomads vs Port Talbot Town FC
JD Cymru Premier
Saturday 17th January 2009 | 2:30pm
Deeside Stadium, Connah's Quay | Attendance: 0

Drew Fahiya scored twice in six minutes to bring manager Mark Jones his first win since returning as Port Talbot boss.

The success reversed the result when Connah's Quay travelled to the GenQuip Stadium earlier this season and the hosts could have few complaints about the outcome.

A poor game on Deeside produced little to last in the memory and few chances.

Fahiya poked the ball past keeper Craig Vernon for his first on the half hour and produced a telling close range finish following a quickly-taken free kick 40 yards out.

Nomads pushed forward late in the game, but defenders Gary Pinch and Andy Alston could only produce tame headers.

Martin Rose almost added another for the Steelmen before home striker Aden Shannon was red-carded along with Talbot's Scott Evans.
