Deeside Stadium, Connah's Quay | Attendance: 0

Connah's Quay Nomads maintained their unbeaten league record, but they only forced to share the points by some poor finishing and brave defending.

They hit the woodwork no less than four times, but in the final analysis the Nomads were grateful to keeper Paul Pritchard for keeping them in the game.

They also failed to capitalise on their numerical advantage when Newtown's experienced defender Kevin Scott was red-carded 22 minutes from time for a professional foul on Jamie Petrie.

Both goals came within the space of eight minutes, Tom Baker scoring for the hosts with a deflected shot just past the hour mark. But the Robins hit back when Craig Moses scoring his first goal for the club since signing from Merthyr Tydfil in the summer, finishing off a good pass from Damien Daniels.

Both sides had chances to win it, but visiting keeper Dave Jones and Quay's Pritchard both came out on top.
