Bangor City FC vs Connah's Quay Nomads
Tuesday 23rd October 2007 | 7:30pm
Nantporth, Bangor | Attendance: 0
Les Davies fired a hat-trick to sweep aside Connah's Quay and give the hosts a great chance of reaching the quarter-finals.
City were in charge from the fourth-minute against a below-strength Nomads when Davies fired his first of the evening. Keiran Killackey twice went close before Davies added another on 19 minutes.
Gary Pinch spurned a chance to reduce the arrears and Ashley Stott had the ball in the net for the Citizens, only to be ruled offside.
But Stott got his reward soon afterwards when he beat keeper Paul Forrester to send City three-up and Davies completed his treble on 65 minutes to leave Nomads pointless in the group.
