Saturday afternoon saw The Nomads complete a dramatic turnaround to defeat Carmarthen Town 3-2 at Richmond Park.

The Nomads went behind early on when Paul Fowler struck a free kick from the edge of the box beyond McCormick's grasps to send the host 1-0 up, and on 23 minutes, things got worse for The Nomads as Sacha Walters met a Luke Cummings cross to send The Old Gold 2-0 up.

The start of The Nomads' comeback began on 37 minutes, as centre back Russell Courtney who, following a Ryan Fraughan free kick, smashed home the resulting loose ball from 12 yards to bring the score back to 2-1 shortly before half time.

Just nine minutes after half time, and Courtney was at it again, this time Kevin McIntyre sent a free kick into the box which Steve Evans met and headed across the face of goal for Courtney to volley home from close range.

The Nomads, now in the ascendency, pushed for the win, and on the 74th minute were afforded a deserved slice of luck as, from another set piece, Ryan Fraughan's free kick found Alan Bull who headed towards goal, and in attempting to clear the effor, Craig Hanford, under pressure from Apai Ukuno, sliced the ball into his own net to give The Nomads the lead for the first time in the game.

Following the third goal, Carmarthen pushed central defender Cortez Belle up front in an attempt to salvage something from the game, but they couldn't come up with anything decisive and The Nomads left south Wales with a precious three points.

The result sees The Nomads now sit ninth in the league on 28 points, with Rhyl now just four points ahead in eighth position.

Next weekend will see The Nomads take a break from League action as we welcome The New Saints to Deeside Stadium in the FAW Welsh Cup this Saturday with a 2:30pm kick off.
