THERE was just one minute left when Lee Jones converted a penalty to clinch a vital point as Caernarfon haul themselves clear of relegation danger.

Nomads' George Horan handled a goalbound effort from Steve Watkin and former Wrexham striker Jones beat Andy Hughes for his 14th goal of the season.

Nomads had taken the lead in the first-half when Daniel March managed to steer Gareth Owen's corner into his own net and the home side were lucky not go further behind to a tremendous Owen volley which just cleared the bar.

But Quay almost regained the lead after the Jones penalty when Tommy Mutton and Owen both fired over from good positions.
