Cwmbran Stadium, Cwmbran | Attendance: 105

THE Crows made it four successive wins, although it took a fortuitous goal to settle this wind-spoilt affair at Cwmbran Stadium.
Home goalkeeper Gareth Wesson's long punt down the middle was headed on by striker Andrew Mainwaring with the ball flying into the net first bounce over Nomads stopper Craig Bryan.

It was a schoolboy mistake by the teenage custodian, although it wasn't the last time he was caught out in coming too far off his line.

On four other occasions, Bryan was beaten to the ball outside his penalty area with Cwmbran unable to take advantage.

The final incident saw substitute Richard Hurlin beat the goalkeeper out wide before slipping the ball past the far post when it looked easier to score.

Cwmbran had gone even closer when midfielder Simon Heal crashing a thunderous drive against a post.

The Nomads, though, could also have scored, no more so than when striker Tommy Mutton's chip was headed spectacularly off the line by home left back Kristian James.

Nomads lost midfielder Ryan Crawford after just two minutes and it was clear the visitors were aggrieved that the tackle went unpunished.

Because of that, the rest of the first half was a niggly affair and it was to no-one's surprise when defender Andy Griffiths was straight red-carded for elbowing Mainwaring.
