Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to announce the signing of 23 year old striker Joe Malkin.
Joe is the son of former Tranmere Rovers striker Chris Malkin and most recently played for Nantwich Town in the Northern Premier Division. Malkin joined Nantwich in 2018 from North-West Counties side, Cammell Laird having scored 24 goals in his final campaign at Lairds.
In his first season at Nantwich, Joe scored 11 goals and was named the Northern Premier Division Young Player of the Year.
Despite the 2019/20 season being curtailed by the Covid pandemic, Joe still managed 13 goals in the games played leaving him as the top scorer for the season.
On Joe's arrival at The Nomads, Craig Harrison commented; "I'm really looking forward to working with Joe - he is a good young talent with great potential. He's quick, athletic, powerful and can score goals whilst playing as a lone striker as a two or anywhere across front three."
