Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to confirm the signing of Jordan Davies.

Following the initial announcement late on Monday afternoon, 27-year-old Davies returns to The Nomads following a very successful spell at Haverfordwest County, where he initially joined on loan from The Nomads before signing permanently in May 2022.

Davies was The Bluebirds top scorer in the 22/23 season finding the net 15 times including an impressive strike at the Essity Stadium against Flint in early April, which helped him to third place in the overall Golden Boot standings in the league.

Davies, a former Welsh international Futsal player was a part of The Nomads' first ever Scholarship team over ten years ago, winning the Welsh Schools U19 Cup before leaving the club to play at Prestatyn Town under current Nomads Manager Neil Gibson. Jordan returned to The Nomads in June 2021 and made his full first team debut in our Champions' League away tie against Armenian side, Alashkert.

Davies was extremely unlucky not to open the scoring in Yerevan, Davies pounced on a loose ball only to see the Armenian International goalkeeper, David Yurchenko make a crucial side to keep his side level on a thunderous night in the former Soviet republic.

Davies would make a further 11 starts and four substitute appearances for the club, finding the net three times, with his first goal coming against Llandudno in the Nathaniel MG Cup in August 2021.

On his return to The Nomads, Neil Gibson commented; "I'm really really pleased to get Jordan Davies back within the group - a lot of credit goes to Gary [Dewhurst] and Darren [Pritchard] as owners in facilitating the move and bringing Jordan back to the club. Jordan is someone who I have known extensively for a long period of time - I gave him his JD Cymru Premier debut at Prestatyn Town at the age of 17 and I've managed him for 6-7 of the last 10 seasons so I know exactly what he is capable of and the qualities he brings.

I think he will fit in really well with the rest of the group and give us a different type of threat in the final third - he scored 15 goals last season and we obviously want to score more goals and I think he ticks all the boxes in what we are looking for - he's hungry to improve, mobile and technically good and well suited to 3G pitches."

Welcome back to the club Jordan... and keep your eye out for some other incoming transfers over the next few days!
