Gary O'Toole netted the only goal of a closely-contested encounter as Nomads moved to within two points of the Huws Gray Alliance lead, ending Caersws' stunning nine-match winning streak in the process.
Returning from a third suspension of the season, last term's leading marksman was thrown straight into the starting line-up by player-manager Mark McGregor whose decision was vindicated when the former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Coventry City hot-shot prodded in Ben Collins' left-wing cross in the 13th minute.
The Bluebirds came close to equalising on a number of occassions during the second half but Nomads held on for a vital victory that keeps them well-placed in a fiercely competitive championship battle.
