McIntyre appointed to player-coach role

The Nomads are pleased to announce that Kevin McIntyre has been appointed to a player-coach role at The Club.

McIntyre joined The Nomads ahead of the 2014-15 season and was almost an ever-present throughout the season, and since joining The Club has gone on to make 53(+6) appearances.  The popular defender picked up the Coaches Player of the Year Award at the 2014-15 end of season awards.

McIntyre, a UEFA B License holder, joins the extensive coaching staff at The Nomads made up of Director of Football Andy Morrison, First Team Manager Jay Catton and Goalkeeping Coach Neil Ebbrell.

Prior to joining The Nomads, McIntyre was a football league regular making over 300 football league appearances at teams including Tranmere Rovers, Doncaster Rovers, Macclesfield Town and Shrewsbury Town.

On his appointment, Director of Football Andy Morrison commented; “I’m absolutely delighted to have Kevin as part of our coaching team.  The standards he shows in the way he trains and his professionalism will make his transition from player to coach an easy one.”
