Steve joined The Nomads from Welsh Premier League champions, The New Saints, on loan in September 2014, having spent the last six years at the Oswestry-based side. Evans has made over 240 appearances for TNS, scoring 36 goals in the process.

Steve, formerly of Crewe Alexandra and West Bromwich Albion, was voted the Welsh Premier League player of the season in 2004/05. Evans originally joined TNS in 1999, and in 2006, joined Wrexham, winning his first full international cap for Wales against Lichtenstein, and went on to add six further caps to his record.

During his loan spell at Deeside, Evans made 25 appearances, scoring on five occasions.
