Insall joined The Nomads in April 2019 having spent a good portion of his career in Scotland, plying his trade at Hibernian and East Fife - Insall originally joined Hibs from Stourbridge in 2015 having also played for Littleton earlier in his career. He was named as the Ladbrokes Scottish League One Player of the Month award for his performances for East Fife in September 2016.

Insall made his debut for The Nomads as a second half sub away at Bala in April 2019.

In his first full season at Deeside, Insall would score on 17 occasions in all competitions, helping lead The Nomads to the Nathaniel MG Cup and JD Cymru Premier domestic double.

Insall would go on to make a total of 61 competitive starts for the club, scoring on 30 occasions, picking up two Cymru Premier and two Nathaniel MG Cup Winners medals along with a runners up medal in the Welsh Cup.
