Connah's Quay Nomads vs The New Saints FC
JD Cymru Premier
Friday 5th September 2014 | 7:30pm
Deeside Stadium, Connah's Quay | Attendance: 328
The Nomads were victims of a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Welsh Premier League Champions, The New Saints at Deeside Stadium.
TNS' goals came from Adrian Cieslewicz, Alex Darlington, Chris Seargent and a double from Greg Draper, while The Nomads' solitary goal came from defender Jack Rowlands.
After the game, Mark McGregor spoke to S4C saying "We gave away some needless throw-in's and corners early on and it put us on the back foot. It was another error that cost us the second goal..."
"... the key moment was we should have scored to make it 2-1 and 20 seconds later it's in the back of the net and unfortunately that's what good teams do to you - if you don't take your chances in this league, you'll get punished."
