Connah's Quay Nomads are pleased to announce that Academy duo Cameron Darling and Harry Owen have been given professional contracts at the club.

Cameron is a talented young goalkeeper who is an exceptional shot stopper while Harry Owen is a dominant centre back who at only 16 years of age last season captained our U19s to JD Cymru Premier Development North League.

Both players have progressed impressively whilst being part of the full time scholarship program in conjunction with Coleg Cambria over the last two seasons.

Directof of Football Jay Catton commented; "A huge part of their development is down to Head Coach Gareth Richards and all senior phase supporting staff including Richard Cusato, Antonio Magalhaes, Kevin Manley and Del Morgan who have all aided in both players development over the last 18 months.

Along with being in a number of JD Cymru Premier squads over the last two seasons, both players have trained with the first team on numerous occasions and always performed to the required and competitive high standard within the group.

Along with being exciting young prospects, both have great character and conduct themselves superbly both on and off the pitch and are great role models for all current academy and scholarship players.

A huge well done to both players and all coaches within the academy set up who have aided in both players development."

Harry and Cameron now join Sam Williams, Max Moore, Josh Allen and Aron Williams who have all graduated from the Nomads Academy system and are now members of the Connahs Quay Nomads First Team.
